Dr. Jacek Dygut is a doctor with immense experience and great passion. He finished medical school in Krakow and graduated with honours in 1987 as the best student in his class. During the following few years he climbed the career ladder receiving I degree (1994) and II degree (2001) specialty in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. As a surgeon he has helped thousands of patients to date. Suffice it to say he has performed around 400 total hip replacements and 700 partial hip replacements and assisted with 2700 hip replacements. He performed approximately 40 total knee replacement surgeries, 3670 stabilisations of long bone fractures, 7200 stabilisations of short bone fractures, 384 skin grafts.
Based on his enormous experience, Dr. Jacek Dygut worked for the Disability Evaluation Board in Przemyśl and Rzeszów (1999) as the Chair of the committee. Furthermore, as certifying physician he worked at PZU Insurance Group and (1993 - 2003) and Social Insurance Company ZUS (1995 - 2000). Since 2001 he has been a registered medical expert witness - specialising in orthopaedics and traumatology for the District Court in Krakow, Rzeszow and Warsaw.
Taking into consideration how important in orthopaedics are the disciplines of preventive care and rehabilitation medicine, he has ceaselessly expanded his medical knowledge. After a few years of training, in 2016 he became a specialist in medical rehabilitation. His skills broadened to include neurorehabilitation, oncology and rehabilitation in young patients with chronic respiratory diseases, HIV infections, AIDS, modern techniques for orthotic and prosthetic appliances (upper, lower limbs and torso).
His enormous experience and skills, developed thanks to years of specialist training, are supported by his research and academic work. Currently Dr. Jacek Dygut collabortes with Jagiellonian University - Collegium Medicum in Medical Sciences field, generating considerable output. He is an initiator of many projects, author of a number of scientific publications and symposium abstracts as well as author of patent applications for different orthopaedic devices.
