  Up to 14 weeks of pregnancy it is recommended to come for scanning with full bladder to enhance the image quality. So,please make sure you drink 1-2 pints of water or liquid one hour prior to your appointment.

It is so called 'anatomy or half-pregnancy scan' for baby growth and development assessment. The scan allows to determine baby position in the womb and his well-being.
  
  Except of the above mentioned time frames for pregnancy scanning all pregnant women are welcome to come in at any stage of their pregnancy for reassurance and checking how their pregnancy is progressing.
